On 18 June, Link-Pro CPA Limited was pleased to participate in the Institute’s SMP Career Day 2026 as a registered practice booth, where students and graduates had the opportunity to learn more about career opportunities within small and medium practices (SMPs). Throughout the event, one of the most frequently discussed topics was the growing role of AI in accounting and how future professionals can prepare for a technology-driven workplace. Many students were eager to understand how technological developments are influencing the profession and what they can do today to remain competitive in the years ahead.
Human judgement still matters
AI is already reshaping many aspects of accounting. Tasks that once required considerable time and manual effort can now be completed more efficiently through intelligent software, allowing accounting professionals to focus on work that requires deeper analysis and stronger professional judgement.
